This 100% Cabernet Franc “La Grande Réserve” is from Queylus Winemaker Kelly’s own Mason Vineyard, situated in the heart of the Twenty Mile Bench, which has a vocation for ”Loire-style” Cabernet Francs (unlike the more Bordeaux feel of our other offerings from the Lincoln Lakeshore). Almost Burgundian, the Mason vineyard is perfumed, racy, but with great core strength, displaying a deep blue fruit and a focused, complex and agreeably-lean frame (as with certain Cabernet Francs from the Loire, consider a big-bowled glass). Grows in stature, length, and complexity in the glass. Hold for at least two years to let the perfume develop, and will improve for 5-8 years.
Aged 16-18 months in French Oak Barrels.
100% Wild Fermentation.
Vegan.
