Brooding and dark on the nose, our Pinot Noir Grande Réserve shows blackberry, plum, black currant, clove, and tobacco.
This is a classic Pinot: bright acidity, silky tannins, decadent forest floor. The mid-palate is dark cherry and raspberry. 18 months in a combination of neutral and 2nd fill French oak adds structure and a supporting complexity.
An element of black tea suggests young tannins that will round out with time. This wine is meant for ageing 12+ years.
Aged 16-18 months in French oak (20-25%) new.
